Craving pizza pockets as an adult?
We had no idea that Trapizzino @trapizzinousa had an NYC location, but we had tried their delicious trapizzini in Rome! Turns out, the focaccia magic is alive and well on Orchard St!
Imagine fluffy, fresh-baked focaccia crafted into irresistible bread triangles, then stuffed with grown-up flavors that leave you wanting more. Vegetarian, meat-lover, or somewhere in between – they’ve got a Trapizzino for you (and trust us, we tried them all!).
Check out the noms we devoured:
– Suppli Classico & Cacio e Pepe (these are like Roman upgraded versions of arancini)
– Trapizzini Doppia Panna – burrata and cantabrian anchovies
– Trapizzini Parmigiana di Melanzane – eggplant, parmigiano, basil, oil
– Trapizzini Pollo alla Cacciatora – chicken, garlic, white wine, rosemary
To sip (drink it all, dry January or not):
– Bicicleta Spritz
– Espresso Martini
– Hugo Spritz
(You can order any Aperitivi on their menu as a spritz also!)
This place is seriously an explosion of flavor and fun, perfect for a quick bite or a casual sit-down. You NEED to experience Roman street food in NYC at Trapizzino! Don’t forget to grab a supplì while you’re there – you won’t regret it!
